Why did you choose a destination wedding?
It was always my dream to have a wedding ceremony on the beach. We both love to travel and beach destinations are our favorite places to go. We wanted to say “I Do” in beautiful surroundings with our closest friends and family by or side.
How many attendees did you have?
We had 35 closest friends and family attending.
What kind of experience did you envision your guests having?
I envisioned our guests to have a wonderful time and a great vacation at the same time. We had guests coming from Poland, Central America, Canada and the States, we wanted to make sure everyone was happy, and they all had a blast.
What was one part of planning your wedding that you knew you couldn’t have done alone? How did having a Destination Wedding Specialist help with that?
The whole organization process, from getting the rates for room block, travel reservations for the guests, and communications with the wedding coordinator at the Majestic Mirage resort. Will and Niki were always on top of everything and were able to help with any questions I had.
What piece of advice would you give to couples who are just starting the planning process?
Don’t do it alone, hire professionals like Will and Niki. They will make the whole process easier.
What’s one “extra” you’re super glad you splurged on? What surprised you the most about your wedding?
We helped some of our family members cover the cost of travel, so we could share our wonderful day with them, priceless.
If you could choose three words to describe your wedding, what would they be?
Beautiful, amazing and fun
What is your favorite memory from your big day?
The look of my husband’s face when he first saw me. My son walking me down the aisle and the smiles on all of our guests faces.
